WordPress Error establishing a database connection

  1. Trying to install WordPress using the application installer. I believe I've filled out all the information correctly and that the password I'm using is correct (the rest of my site uses the same database and it works, so...)

This is how the information looks in my MS SQL Manager. I'm pretty sure I haven't accidentally left in any whitespace either when entering it. Any idea what the problem could be?

Yes, you're using a MS SQL (Microsoft SQL Server) database. You need to create a MySQL database. They are different. In the Control Panel, it's the icon with the dolphin, two icons to the right of MS SQL Manager.
