Short version = introduce free (such as letsencrypt) and automatic SSL certificates and watch your user base explode. Long version = I know we're all supposed to be programmers to use Winhost and it does give us much freedom in creating managed code based systems. Much more freedom than most others buuuuut. Darnit, I don't want to pay over fifty bucks per year for each and every website I create just to have Google not say 'Not Secure'. A nice icon on the user interface called: 'Add free SSL encryption to your sites' would be nice. Yes it will require more maintenance from you maintenance DevOps but it also means you'll get gazillions more customers, get rich, meet the girl of your dreams and fall in love. Looking at the dates on the posts in these forums definitely tells me that you all need to do that ian in England Earth
You do not need to use the SSL certs that we sell if you don't want to. You can import any cert you want so you are free to use a free ssl cert if you want to.
