Is it possible to take a backup on an sql2005 server and restore it to Winhost? My attempt failed with a big red message saying to contact support immediately and do nothing else to/with the database, but i can't find out how to contact support - all I get is Knowledge Base access (new Winhost user today)
Yes, it's possible. Please open up a support ticket from our Support Portal. You might need to register/login with your Winhost Control Panel credentials.
