Hi guys.... Sorry if this is non-Winhost specific.... Is is possible for me to enable my Winhost site emails to be received and processed by my server? I would like to setup a facility where the user could respond to an email send out by the server and process commands embedded in the response email. Thanks Sam
Hi Sam, I'm not sure what you're exactly trying to do, but you're welcome to use your own mail server for your domain. You just need to add/modify the appropriate A and MX records in your DNS.
What I would like to do send out emails from mydomain.com (which I can do) and then process the return emails sent back to mydomain.com and process the response. Any idea on how I would go about that? Thanks, Sam
Hi Sam, Not really. You can setup your A and MX records to be processed by your own mail server, but I'm not sure how you would automate it to process any replies you receive.
