As I understand winhost is unable to process PHP (Mail) functions which is a limitation when dealing with wordpress sites. I've been told that we need to download a SMTP plugin which would be straight forward enough however I have a client who's IT character does not want to give us the log in information for the email.. he feels it's too risky to use that information. Our idea was to set up a gmail account and use it's SMTP settings and then forward the emails to their email address... however I have not been able set the SMTP settings correctly for a Gmail account... are there any instructions to accomplish this?
