My domain status

  1. I switched to Winhost a couple months ago because HostDepartment wasn't providing services and my domain with them just expired. But when I went to register it through Winhost, it said that the domain was unavailable.

    is there another piece I need to do?

  2. Most likely this is because the domain is in its renewal phase. I would recommend renewing it and then if you would not like to keep the domain with your current registrar, perform a domain registration transfer to another registrar.

    Unfortunately we cannot take in domain registration transfers so you would have to transfer the registration elsewhere and then update your domains name servers to point to us.
  3. I recommend that you open a support ticket and speak to our support staff by logging into our support portal here. I do see this domain already registered.
