Let's Encrypt

Discussion in 'Third-party applications' started by keht, Jun 26, 2018.

  1. As far as I can tell using let's encrypt certificates is not possible right now. Please correct me if I am wrong.

What is WH's plan for getting some integrated support for LE certs? I think it's important that WH be working on this. Decent, fully featured, windows shared hosting providers are limited but some are starting to implement this.

I understand WH has revenue tied to SSL certs but there needs to be some compromise, even if support for it is an extra $x / month.

You can use SSL certs that you purchase or get from elsewhere with your account. So you can use Let'sEncrypt if you want to. You would need to be on the Max or Ultimate plan to use SSL certs.

  3. is there any plan to integrate LE support into the control panel? Can something be done like what plesk CP does which makes it basically a single click to setup?

We do not have immediate plans at this time. You can get Let's Encrypt certs and use them already.

  5. alright, thank you for your reply.
