Try putting borders around the images to make it stand out a little more. And since you are in the home market, maybe the dark gray back ground maybe the wrong color for you. It makes it a little dreary like a cloudy day. I know you want to make it look professional so maybe setting up light colors such as light blue and white.
The colour is an interesting idea, I never got that vibe from it, I simply pulled the colours out of one of the houses done. Thank you I'll experiment with a few colours and see how I go.
