Two days ago I could FTP to my ftp site no problem. As of yesterday I started getting this error and am still getting it today: Status: Connection attempt failed with "EAI_NONAME - Neither nodename nor servname provided, or not known". Error: Could not connect to server What changed?
Figured it out. It appeared I was using a version of my FTP address that is no longer supported (?). I checked it with the one provided in my Control Panel and saw mine was slighly different.
Glad you worked it out. The secondary URL was changed recently, yes. We sent out a number of emails to everyone regarding the change.

Your DNS is not pointed correctly. You can either change your name servers to: ns1.Winhost.com ns2.Winhost.com ns3.Winhost.com Or add an A record that points to 96.31.35.149 if you plan on managing your own DNS.
I'm having the same issue. Status: Waiting to retry... Status: Resolving address of ftp.w16.wh- ftp.biblebridges.com Status: Connection attempt failed with "EAI_NODATA - No address associated with nodename". Please let me know what the issue is.
You're not using the correct secondary FTP URL. To get the correct secondary FTP URL log into the control panel on Winhost. Click on Sites tab. Click on Manage next to the domain name. Under the Site Info section you will see a field called Secondary FTP: That's the correct secondary FTP URL you should be using.
Hello, I'm not sure hot to change my name servers. I also transferred my domain from godaddy to Winhost, and I need to update them. How do I go about doing that? Thanks, Joey
If the domain name was transferred to us. You will need to update the name servers for your domain name in the "Domains" section of the control panel. Log in the control panel. Click on the "Domains" tab. Click on "View/Edit" next to your domain name under the whois section. On the next page scroll all the way to the bottom and enter the name servers you wish to use. Then click on the Update button to update to the new name servers.
