Analytics & Free Hit Counter.

  1. Hi,

I am having some issues with hit counter:

    1. How can I get the online hit counter?

    2. How to track the number of unique or individual visits to my web pages?

    3. Where my visitors are from, identify what their interests are from what webpages they are viewing, dates of each visit, repeat visitors etc?

I want to promote my own website organically but don't know how to do it?

If anyone knows about this please help me. :)

    Thanks.

  2. I feel like this post is just setting the stage for spam, but I'll answer anyway.

"Hit counters" are a thing of the past, and they were ineffective even back then.

  3. Hi Michael,

Thanks for your quick reply. Do you know any other tool other that Google Analytics? I have heard that google is having some data problems. One of my friend suggested me goStats & piwik. What's your opinion about that?

    Thanks.

  4. GoStats works the same way Google analytics does - that is with javascript code on your site. If you trust them more than you trust Google, or prefer their reports, use GoStats.

We use Google analytics on our company sites. I'm not sure why anyone would use anything else these days. Unless they are just anti-Google in general.
