Hello, I just joined Winhost. I have a number of access databases that were hosted on a greek server and/or edited on PCs with greek regional settings. They contain mosly greek html text (codepage is windows-1232). When I retrieve old greek content I get weird ????? characters. If I save a completely new page with greek characters from Winhost it displays correctly! I suppose it could be a parameter in my connection string that I am not aware of or I will have to convert the database somehow. Otherwise i'll just have to copy-paste everything and it's A LOT of pages Anyone ever come across such a case before? here's my connection string: Application("ConnectionString_AG") = "Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=" & Server.mapPath("/data/Agenda.mdb") & ";Locale Identifier=1032;" regards
First of, how are you saving the data on your Access database? What is the data type. Also, what version of Access are you using? You may have a foreign version that our server cannot read. Can you try downloading an English version of Access and test it out? Also as an alternative, have you thought about upsizing to our SQL server?
