My sites are down, as are yours, most likely. Even winhost.com is down (which makes it hard to submit a support ticket). Any idea when this outage will be over? Is there an official off-site communication channel where we can receive updates and information about these "unplanned" outages? The WinHost twitter account never mentions down time. It would be nice to even see a message that says "we know about the outage - we're working on it".
Looks like things are slowly recovering. Since they (winhost) doesn't really communicate with us consumers of their service, I can only hazard a guess that there were network issues of some sort. /agree with your wish for better comms skills from winhost. It's a skill they are definitely lacking in.
Wow ! I happened to be sitting on my computer, On UTC Date/Time - Thursday, 18 March 2021 4:08 PM and my sites went down !! WTF? 1/2 hour before sites were available, I thought I had done something wrong locally on my PC - but obviously other people are having problems too. Haven't had a prob with winhost (that I noticed) before, and i'd agree as others have said, Twitter or some other comms, even via email would sweeten the impact , and a post-mortem too !
If your sites are having an issue right now, then send in a support ticket and our team will investigate. As for Tuesday's outage, we did post a postmortem in our Outages forum.
