UK time on SQL Server record

Discussion in 'Databases' started by clover, Aug 6, 2010.

  1. Hello,

I have a guestbook on my site where the date the entry was added is automatically inserted into the database.

I'm based in the UK and the time that is being inserted is US not UK time so the timestamp is several hours behind (I can reformat the date fine).

Please can you let me know where I should (can?) configure this setting? Do I need to run a query against my Winhost db??

    Many thanks :)

I'm not sure exactly how you code the date in your guest book but that is where you will need to modify the date before it is loaded to the database.

Bear in mind that servers is in the west cost of the United States set for pacific time. You will need to modify the date your guest book passes to the SQL server. We cannot change the server time for you because it will affect everyone else on that server.

  3. Got ya; thanks.
