1. I just bought SiteBackup and part of the procedure says: Our external IP addresses for backups is 54.67.74.31 How do i access that? I tried HTTP and FTP, no luck. 2. Does SiteBackup use full backup, or incremental, or what? Do i have control of that?
1. See our knowledge base article on how to schedule a site backup here: https://support.winhost.com/kb/a1341/how-to-configure-a-scheduled-backup-of-your-site.aspx 2. It does a full backup of your web site files, MySQL and MS SQL database if you wish to do so. You can also choose what part of your site to backup. Most people do a full system backup of their web site files.
I disabled my firewall but still do not get access. I get this message: 15:14:35 Status: Connecting to 54.67.74.31:21... 15:14:56 Status: Connection attempt failed with "ETIMEDOUT - Connection attempt timed out". 15:14:56 Error: Could not connect to server Is 54.67.74.31 supposed to be something us website owners can access? Is that where the backups are stored? It seems to be FTP, but is the remote end a FTP server or FTP client? Do I use the same username and password that's entered on the form?
No, you access the backups through the SiteBackup Dashboard. You don't need to do anything with that IP unless your backups fail due to that IP being blocked from accessing your files (which won't be a problem for Winhost-hosted sites and databases).
