I'm trying to upload and view a website I created with Expression Web. According to filezilla my files are in the website but when I access my site I see the site is under construction page. I'm missing something but don't know what. Do I need to replace the Winhostdefault.htm with my default.html? Thanks Jay
Hi Jay, Our blog shows you how to configure a Default Document for your account: http://blog.Winhost.com/configuring-a-default-document/ default.html is one of the files listed to be served by default. Do you have your files uploaded to the root of your account?
when I try to publish from Expression web I get the following message "The folder 'public_html' does not exist on remote web location. Would you like a folder created at that location?" I answered this yes and it created this folder but my files where inside it and could not be seen to load them. Should I answer this no? Jay
Yes, answer no. That folder is more for Linux/UNIX based hosting. It should publish to the root. You can always check the structure using any FTP client.
