Well, there are kind of an infinite number of potential causes... I see your site is up now, but when you notice a problem, the first thing you want to do is check the outages and maintenance forum. If there's nothing there that might affect your site (which there wasn't at the time you posted), log in to the support portal and open up a ticket. They'll help you troubleshoot.
