Hi, I'm having a problem setting up DNN for the first time. I'm following the directions here: https://support.Winhost.com/KB/a654/how-to-install-dotnetnuke-5x-on-Winhost-servers.aspx I created a database, changed the web.config file and then did the following - Uploaded the dnn install files from DotNetNuke_Community_05.06.01_Install into the folder \dnn - Created an Application Starting point at \dnn But if I navigate to http://IP_Address/dnn, I get the error: "HTTP Error 404.0 - Not Found The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable." Default.aspx exists there. If I navigate to just my ip address, I get: "Web Page is Unavailable" Am I misunderstanding the directions? Can I use just an IP address and not a domain name? I don't want to point the domain here yet because an old version of this site is live on another host. Thanks for you help, Bill
Typically the accounts are assigned Shared Static IP addresses and will only get a Unique IP address when you have SSL installed. Try using your secondary URL address to pull up your DNN application.
