I know this is silly.. but I just set-up a new eMail account via smartermail: [email protected], then accessed my webmail via: mail.domainname.com. I logged in with the new eMail address, and created a new message, and sent it out. I wanted to check the message that was sent, but I can't see the "sent item" folder in the list of folders. I then created another new message, and saved it to draft instead of sending it out. Again I can't find the draft folder. Is there something I need to do to activate these folders to get them viewable? (And to get the eMails to be saved to them when 'sent' or 'saved'? In addition, when I sent out the first eMail, I sent it to another of my eMail addresses: ie: [email protected]. It was received, and so I replied to it for a test. This replied eMail to [email protected] never arrived in my webmail's account inbox folder... so it appears that something is wrong here!! Any help will be appreciated! SunnyOz
Found folders.. still no inbox mail though! I knew it was silly!! I thought the folders would automatically be created once an eMail was sent or saved, but you have to resfresh the page to see the new folders. However, I am still not receiving any eMail.. even the ones that I 'replied' to.. so I couldn't make a mistake type-ing in the eMail address. It has been 45 minutes since I did the reply.. I would have thought it should have shown up by now!!
Try disabling greylisting: http://support.Winhost.com/KB/a550/what-is-greylisting.aspx http://support.Winhost.com/KB/a553/how-to-bypass-greylisting-in-smartermail.aspx
GreyListing... my eMail address is spam??? Thank you.. that worked.. I disabled greylisting, and resent eMails from my personal address to both accounts.. and they showed up this time.. (but they weren't marked as spam.. so not sure why my personal eMail address was greylisted!! ) Of course, since I disabled greylisting.. I am already getting 'real' spam messages coming in.. (as you would expect). This eMail is marked as "SPAM-MED". I have figured out how to 'over-ride' the system spam filtering.. but I was wonder if there is a way to move spam to the spam folder... AND keep the spam text tag in front of the subject line? It appears you can only do one or the other... is that correct? Thanks again for your help.
This Knowledge Base article provides information on how to adjust the spam setting: http://support.Winhost.com/KB/a555/smartermail-default-spam-blockingfiltering-configuration.aspx You can use Content Filtering to move the messages. They should retain the SPAM header tag.
