this is really strange, and it only just started happening today. I cannot view my Winhost site (i have two separate accounts). i can't visit www.Winhost.com i can't hit http://cp.Winhost.com I cannot visit anything Winhost except these forums. I've tried using 2 different desktop pc's, my laptop, my phone and my surface... and I cannot access anything 'Winhost'. It's on this is all happening from my home internet connection. If I use my mobile phone to visit Winhost, it's fine. It's also fine on my neighhours internet, my friends internet etc. Could it be that my home internet has been blocked by Winhost?? that's the only thing i can think of....... anyone got advice?
It might be your internet connection at home. Is the problem still happening now? If it is you can try to contact the support department and provide them with this traceroute test: In order to help us narrow down and analyze the problem, could you please perform the following networking test(s) and provide us with the results? - Click the Windows Start Menu icon and go to Run. - Type in "cmd" (without the double quotes) and hit the Enter key. Test # 1 - In the Command Prompt window, type in "tracert www.Winhost.com" (without the double quotes) and hit the Enter key. Test # 2 - In the Command Prompt window, type in "tracert cp.Winhost.com" (without the double quotes) and hit the Enter key. To capture the results from the Command Prompt window: 1) Right click in the Command Prompt window. 2) Select: Select All 3) Press the Enter key. (This will copy the text to the clipboard.) 4) Launch the Notepad program (usually found in Start --> All Programs --> Accessories). 5) Right click in the Notepad window. 6) Select: Paste 7) Save and name the file. You can then provide the results to us as an email attachment.
Thanks for the reply. yes it's still happening. I tried calling my ISP to see if something was up on their end... and they gave me a proxy to try.... and that worked. but i can't continue to use their proxy. I'll email the full results of the tracert to support. But here is the tail. I've omitted the first 3 or 4 hops, to conceal my ip address, and the addresses within my ISP.
