Just Switched - Excellent SP1 Support!

Thank you so much for providing this service. I was hosting with what I thought was a premier company, GoDaddy, but they refuse to budge when it comes to WCF services. After spending almost a week in my spare time to learn this stuff I almost had a working service. The only thing lacking was a small concession to give me more control over my hosting environment - allow me to change my authentication in order to properly host a WCF service without having to resort to a bunch of custom programming. It was bad enough I spent the 5 days I did on it to get as far as I did. I signed up for your service last night. I dropped my .svc file (along with supporting files) into a newly created application directory. Navigated to my .svc file, and sweet success finally! That, alone, was worth the price of admission for me. Thanks guys and gals for providing such an excellent, pain free service. Keep up the great work!

 

Thanks for the complements. I also would like to point out that we allow IIS 7 Manager to connect to our server. We have delegated some of the modules to the customer levels so you can take advantage of the features in IIS 7 such as authentication and authorization rules, along with the URL Rewrite module. Try looking at this kb article for some guidelines on how to use IIS 7 Manager to connect directly to our servers.

Thanks for the heads up Ray! I was able to get this going last night and I am enamored with the amount of power and control I have over my site now. I was also able to seamlessly connect to my MSSQL db using SQL2008 Express tools! With that "other" provider I was relegated to a sandbox which assumed I didn't know what I was doing. Now I have all the power and better yet I can play with all the new toys!
