If I have a licensed copy of SQL Server 2012 Standard, BI, or Enterprise edition on my local server, would my Winhost-hosted Web site be able to connect to my local SQL Server, or is using a Winhost hosted SQL Server (Web Edition, I assume?) my only option? The reason I'm asking is that I'm going to need SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS, but I'd prefer to host the SQL Server locally and using a shared Web hosting provider instead of going with an expensive dedicate hosting plan. Thanks.
We don't block outbound connections, so I see no reason this would not work. If you have a firewall though, then you'll need to submit a support ticket so we can provide you with an outbound IP address you can add to your exclude list on your firewall.
