I have my first practice web application project in Visual Web Developer, and I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing. After I tried the ftp publish (from the build menu) I get this error. "[SqlException (0x80131904): A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)] ...then the long list of errors" Is this because this maybe an unsupported version of SQL given I'm using the free Visual Web Developer Express? Or I am missing something else? Sorry I'm just starting to learn how SQL servers work. Thank you!
The error indicates that you're using a SQL Express. (SQL Express is not support in our hosting environment.) Do you get this error directly on your site on you have FTP the site to our web servers?
