I have a few subdoims that automatically need to be redirected to another url. I.E. http://twitter.mazuma.com -> http://twitter.com/mazuma360 i have got this work, but if enter stuff after the server name I want it dropped. I.E. http://twitter.mazuma.com/1 -> http://twitter.com/mazuma360 or http://twitter.mazuma.com/z/z -> http://twitter.com/mazuma360 Is it even possible to do this with an inbound rule? I have code that will do this but the URL Rewrite 2 seems faster and easier to maintain.
I think I figured it out. <rule name="twitter" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="(.*)" /> <conditions> <add input="{HTTP_HOST}" pattern="^twitter\.mazuma360\.com$" /> </conditions> <action type="Redirect" url="http://twitter.com/mazuma360" /> </rule>
I just pulled up some instructions on how to setup the URL rewrite module to perform a rewrite and redirect. Try looking at this thread on our forum. http://forum.Winhost.com/showthread.php?p=15356#post15356
