Uploading files via FileZilla

Hi,
I've just signed with Winhost and waiting for my registrar to update my DNS settings.

I used FileZilla and was able to login to my Winhost ftp account. I tried uploading a files (defult.aspx) to the root but was denied. I was however able to upload the file to my ftp user account.

My question is how do I upload file to the root?
