I've been with godaddy for over 10 years, and they did a good job hosting my classic asp/vbscript applications and sites. They've unilaterally upgraded one of my hosting accounts to iis 7 and discontinued support for asp pages written in vbscript. I have a MS SQL database for each hosting account, and a bunch of pages. What is the process of moving my data from godaddy to your service if I sign up for the unlimited plan? Thanks. Specifically, can I back up a ms sql database from godaddy and then restore the file into your ms sql server?
Hi Patrick, Yes. Basically you would move the files over using FTP, back up the database at GoDaddy and restore it to our systems, and update the connection strings in your application to point to the new database. You'll also need to point the DNS to us. This should work for most sites.
