I'm in the process of moving some legacy asp to Winhost and am testing everything out. Currently, everything is working just fine except for sending email from the pages (CDO). I've altered some test pages as defined by http://support.Winhost.com/KB/a617/how-to-send-mail-using-cdo.aspx Unfortunately, I'm getting the following error: I just recently set up the site (I have not moved the DNS addressing and am using the alternate address to test things) and have set up the appropriate user in the email system to send the mail. One thing of note, the webmail portal mail.xxxxx.com (which I did address through our DNS) is also showing an error: I don't know if this is related but I thought it worth mentioning.
Ah, I've solved the problem. In setting up the DNS I used the IP of the web server. There is a separate IP for the mail server. I found this under DNS settings (our DNS is not managed through Winhost).
