Hi, Does Winhost basic service allow the following: 1) Deployment of SQLlite 2) Allow specification of absolute paths for application specific config files 3) Allow writing of log files to disk (using log4net) 4) What is your roadmap for .Net support (e.g. do you have a timeframe for supporting .Net 4.0 once it becomes available) 5) Do you support SQL Server Reporting Services? 6) What privileges does the database user account have on the Basic service? 7) Do we have a separate database admin user? Many thanks Paul
we haven't tested but I think you should be able to. not really sure what you mean here. Yes. You can write file within your own webspace. We try to keep up with current technology, however, we do not have any definitive timeline until .net 4.0 has released. No. DBO No. 1 user per db.
Is there technical reasons for not supporting SQL reporting services or you just don't have the customer demand?
There are a bunch of reasons - technical, cost, demand..etc. But mainly we are a new host and we want to get what we are doing right now right before we get into trying to support other stuff.
Frankc, When you say there is only 1 user per db, do you mean that we can not create multiple user accounts to go against the same db solution? Thanks, David
