Subdomain feature

Discussion in 'Suggestions' started by Jürgen, Feb 3, 2013.

  1. Hi there,
I like to suggest the following feature:
When you add a subdomain, you can also choose a folder on your site to redirect the access to.
For most users the purpose of adding a subdomain is to create a web address in the form subdomain.mysite.com which points to mysite.com/subdomain

Right now, the control panel only lets you specify the subdomain:

If you need to redirect traffic, you need to do this yourself using a script or as a rule in web.config.

Here is how it could look like:
You add a subdomain and optionally select a folder on your site to have the subdomain point to.

  2. Thanks for the suggestion. It's something that has come up in product meetings in the past, and I'm sure we'll revisit it again.
