Hi. At a previous host provider we created a sub domain and users accessed it by going to: http://dchsalumni.townmvideo.com I am beginning to understand the nuances of Winhost's methodology and have gotten the main domain set up and defined the sub domain in control panel. How do I test the redirect if my domain isn't yet transferred to the Winhost account. If it was I would simply go to the url name above and see if it was redirecting. Since that url still points to the other domain..how do I test so it will be ready when I change the pointers.
Unfortunately you really can't. The only way is to access the DNS server your domain name is pointing to and create an A record entry for that subdomain name to point to our web servers IP address.
