Requesting Delivery/Read Receipts in Outlook

  1. On occassion, I send email to customers and use a "Request a Delivery Request," and a "Request a Read Receipt" from Outlook (2010).

    However, I do not receive either receipts. Are there some suggestions you can provide so I can receive these requests?

    This feature only works when the email server is running on Microsoft Exchange. Unfortunately this feature is not available on SmarterMail.
    Bear in mind the feature you are looking for is really only intended for email addresses with the same email domain names. Thus you see this a lot in corporations because everyone will have the same email domain names such as @boeing.com. But with email addresses with different email domain names, it does not work.
     
  3. That is interesting because I was able to both get delivery and read receipts before switching to Winhost. ??
