Replacing URL with IP address?

Discussion in 'DNS/Domain names' started by Someone, Sep 15, 2012.

  1. Dear all,

Is it possible to use IP address for people to access a subfolder (personal blog, in this case) instead of using URL http://www.mydomain.com/blog or is there any other ways for not using an URL.

The domain name is for business use, and I am setting up a "personal" blog using WordPress under the domain.

The blog has nothing to hide :) and it's some thoughts for helping small business owners, and I do it solely for my own interests and don't want to carry any impressions for that it is for any kind of business interests, either it's for PR or promotion, and anything else.

I wish it is just a "personal" blog using an alias, so is there anyway that I could somehow skip the domain name showing in URL?

    Thanks in advance.:)

In order to use a unique IP, you'll need to setup SSL for your account.
