Hello, I have a question regarding to php files that supported by your Windows server. We have simple website that is built in as asp.net site but as set of php files. My Question is: does your hosting support mod_rewrite function to make clean URLs? If it was apache it can be done with mod_rewrite but is it possible to do on windows server for our php website? Thank you.
mod_rewrite isn't a php function, it's an Apache module. Since we don't run Apache web servers, we do not support mod_rewrite. There are rewrite alternatives in IIS, but using them would mean you'd have to change your existing code.
While mod_rewrite isn't supported because it is for apache, you can use URL Rewrite which is the IIS equivalent. If you already have the mod_rewrite rules, you can even try importing them to your site via IIS Manager, as shown in the following Microsoft article: http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/470/importing-apache-modrewrite-rules/
