I main domain and a pointer domain. But I need the pointer e-mail to keep working the same way. Is it possible? Let me be more clear. For example, [email protected] should still be used as such and not as primary. I know that when people send to the pointer address the primary will get it but I also want that John Doe keeps sending e-mails as [email protected]. Should I set the pointer.com domain as the primary domain? (At this point, the current primary domain is worthless) Thanks!
Email addresses on pointer domains are only aliases to the primary domain, so if you aren't using the primary domain for email, yes, switching domains is probably what you want to do. Here's a Knowledge Base article with some domain name change details and procedures.
