Hello, My domain already has one TXT record that is being used for SPF information, but when we tried to add an additional TXT record for the root domain (for domain ownership validation with Google Apps) we don't seem to be able to do so... when I tried to add an additional txt record leaving the host name blank the same way we did for the SPF record, I got a validation error saying the host name field could not be blank!) Any ideas?
Our DNS Control Panel isn't set up to allow multiple txt entries. Having said that, you might try putting both the Google verification string and your SPF record on the same line in the DNS Control Panel. I haven't tested that, so I don't know if substrings (something like: ("record one" "record two")) are required or will work, but it may be worth trying. Wouldn't it be easier to put the google<whatever>.html file on your site to verify ownership?
