I've got a Joomla site working successfully www.seattlejagclub.org and am trying to use the Akeeba backup extension. When I run the backup it warns of unreadable directories and the backup completes but is basically empty. At the page at https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/troubleshooter/abunreadablewarnings.html it says this is due to permission problems in the root directory but I don't' seem able to see or adjust those permissions on Winhost. Any ideas on this? Thanks -Dave
Hi Dave, Did you use Web Deploy to deploy Joomla? If so, sometimes the permissions gets skewed. I have reset them for you, so you might want to try again.
Thanks Elshadriel, Unfortunately that didn't seem to make any difference. I'll try the Akeeba people and see if they can diagnose. Let me know if you have any other ideas. Thanks -Dave
We have the following blog post article on how to backup your whole site using IIS Manager. As for your permissions on your site account. They seem to be set up correctly. What exactly does Akeeba use to backup the site? FTP?
