Hello, I am looking to transfer a new client to Winhost in the next couple weeks. My client is interested in preserving as much of their existing email as possible. I've contacted the current host, and they said that they could export the accounts and messages from their environment in maildir format. If I obtain this export, is it possible to import this into a Winhost account? If that specific format is not possible to import, is there another way that I can import the accounts and messages? Or must I create the accounts manually, and ask my client to forward all important messages to an unrelated account prior to updating the name servers? Thank you!
We can't import a mail dump, no. But we use SmarterMail, and they have a migration tool. If the old account is still active and can be popped when the new account is set up here you can pull the mail over.
