How to send email from a non-postmaster user

Discussion in 'Email' started by condado, Jan 2, 2011.

  1. Hello,
I've checked the mail overview and KB but didn't see an article that addressed this. I'm simply trying to send/receive email from a new User I've created -- I can only send/receive using the postmaster User. How do I access the inbox of a particular new User that I've created?
    Thanks.

You will need to use your webmail to check the emails of the POP accounts you created. For this, you cannot use the Winhost control panel, you will actually need to open a browser on its own and on the address bar type mail.mydomain.com. The "mydomain.com" is an example and you actually type the domain name you used to register the account.

From there you will get a login screen and you type the full email address of the POP account and the password associated to it.

  3. Ray,

Thanks...do you mean as follows (substituting my domain for "mysite"):

    http://mail.mysite.com

It does not work (and I know my site is up --b/c mysite.com works).

IE returns an error as if that webmail address is a dead end.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks.

mail.mydomain.com is an example. What is your domain name to your account?
