Hi, I have not played with the control panel demo yet but is there a way to set folder permissions from the control panel? (e.g. Granting read/write permission to one of the project folders). Thanks.
Hey, You wont be able to change the folder permissions for your web site files. By default all web site files/folders have read and write permissions. You can misconfigure the permissions by accident if you used web deploy to deploy your web site to our web servers. If you feel like you misconfigured your ACL permissions by web deploying your site to our web servers. You can contact the support department and ask them to reset the ACL permissions for your hosting account. Also, please read our knowledge base article on how to prevent this from happening again here: http://support.Winhost.com/KB/a890/acl-was-altered-after-using-vs-web-deploy.aspx One dead give away if you did misconfigured your ACL permissions if you get an error while trying to upload a file to your site through your web application. You will get a "Access Denied" error message.
