We already have a mail server named mail.spatialwave.com but we are trying to utilize your ssl smtp mail server to send out emails from our wordpress website. Your documentation indicates that we should define the smtp host as mail.<domainname>.com however this already exists on our company server and we do not support ssl for this server. Is there an ip/mail server that we can use as the smtp host to send mail from your mail server. Our current settings are SMTP Host: m04.internetmailserver.net SMTP port: 25 Secure connection prefix: SSL Use SMTPAuth: Yes SMTP username: [email protected] (already created on Winhost mail server) SMTP password: **** We are using the config smtp plugin
You shouldn't run into any issues using m04.internetmailserver.net as long as you are using an actual email user that has been created on the server. Also be sure to disable SSL as we do not support SMTP over SSL connections. Edit: Email over SSL/TLS was not supported at the time of this post, but is supported now.
