i currently coding using visual studio 2010 and having a website on Winhost server but i having problems to upload my database to Winhost. i create a .mdf format database at local host. It tested and run alright at the localhost. I have uploaded my project to www.sugarbaby-fashion.com but those pages work with database does not work at all. I know that the database need to be uploaded seperately from the source file. But i do not having any idea how to do it. May i get help from here? this is urgen. Please help me. Thnx for that.
Try looking at this KB article for instructions on how to upload your SQL database to our SQL server. http://support.Winhost.com/KB/a771/how-do-i-generate-or-restore-a-backup-of-my-database.aspx Also make sure you have the connection string coded correctly to look at our SQL server.
I tried that method but still same. I checked the connection string. It is no problem and same with what provide to me at control panel. It can login to the database but cannot find the object it created at localhost database. I even have trouble to publish my localhost database to the server.
It sounds like you did not upload correctly your local database on your local computer to our SQL 2008 Server. Make sure you uploaded your database to our SQL 2008 Server.
