Database connection issue

    Hi..
    I have problem in restoring my database in SQL server 2008
    While i was taking the backup,i didn't check the file extension.
    It got saved in normal file format instead of .bak format.
    so i am unable to restore it now..
    can anyone tell me how to restore??
    I have .dbmdl file with me..

    You could try re-backing up your database locally. I'm actually not familiar with the .dbmdl format.
