CDN in a nutshell, or: how a Content Delivery Network helps you (in more ways than you think!)

Discussion in 'News, announcements and blog posts' started by Michael, Nov 20, 2015.

  1. Do you have to be subscribed to SiteLock to add SiteLock to your hosting plan?

  2. Adding it to your plan will subscribe you.

But there are some other valuable things you get with that aside from the CDN, so it's worth a look.

  3. Sorry, what I meant to say (when I'm not tripping on air conditioning coolant, apparently) is whether you need to have a subscription to SiteLock in order to use the CDN or can you buy the CDN plan without SiteLock?

You need to have the SiteLock Basic Scanning plan at minimum to get the Basic CDN.

  5. If I want to get an enhanced version of the CDN, can I still use the SiteLock basic scanning plan?

  6. Yes. It's a little confusing on their site, but as I understand it, a lot of SiteLock services have to be attached to a SiteLock scanning plan (they are "child services," so to speak).
