Backups

  1. I would like to see:

    - A way to back up all MS SQL databases at once
    - A way to zip an entire folder or site for downloading and backup

PS. It would also be nice to remove the inscrutable ordered and unordered list buttons from the editor I am now using for this forum. They are confusing and not very useful.

  2. Database backup is an asynchronous process, so even if they were backed up in a group it would be one after another, not all at the same time. Also, there are circumstances where the databases on your account may not all be on the same database server.

Zipping site files on the server is something we have to avoid for performance reasons. Archiving files consumes a lot of resources.

As for lists in the forum posts, that's a pretty standard WYSIWYG interface/method. The easiest way to do a list is to enter the lines first, then select them and hit the list button:

    That results in this:

I've found that most of the WYSIWYG controls in the forum are easier to use that way; enter the data, then apply the tool.

But if you really aren't a fan of the WYSIWYG stuff, you can turn it off at the bottom of the Edit Options page.
