Subdomain resolves to root

Discussion in 'DNS/Domain names' started by jkone, Dec 17, 2010.

  1. Hi, I have 3 subdomains (im1, im2 and im3) which I use for my images.
One example is im1.mydomain.com/subdomain-folder/image.jpg, I get a 404 error when trying to access the file. im1.mydomain.com just resolves to the root. I don't know what to do now, because this approach used to work on my previous host.

    Thanks.

Are you sure you have the image uploaded to the path you are calling it from? The 404 is fairly straight forward and it means it cannot find the file.

  3. Thanks for the reply.
I solved this by making a small change on my code. Now I get the image on im1.mydomain.com/im1/subdomain-folder/image.jpg instead of im1.mydomain.com/subdomain-folder/image.jpg

  4. Glad you got it worked out.
