Hi, It looks like one of my clients needs me to do some scheduled tasks (they want a summary email to go out every day from data in a specific table). I see from the forum that "scheduled tasks" are a feature in the ultimate plan but not my current plan. Would the scheduled tasks offered in the ultimate plan be able to handle this requirement? I have used Schedule Tasks on my desktop...but have no clue how they would work via a control panel for a server. Any docs or screen shots to help me understand before upgrading? Thanks! Shaw
The functionality of the scheduled task on Winhost is very simple: it will hit the URL (a page on your site) at the scheduled interval. The page you define to be called can have any code that will be executed once the page is called. This code can be the code that sends emails.
