Hi, I am new to web hosting.I just hosted a website using winhost.But when I type my website name its showing the page of wordpress installation.I have already installed word press.How can I avoid this. Thank You
If you installed WordPress in a subdirectory (like site.com/blog/) and ran the installation from there, you might want to look in the root directory and make sure you haven't also installed WordPress there. It sounds like that may be what happened.

Where you put it just depends on what you want the site structure to be. If you're basing the entire site around WordPress you want it in the root. If you have a separate site and are using WordPress as a blog, most people put it in /blog. But either way it's up to you. The best way to remove any files is via FTP.
